ETL / Integration Developer
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM DataStage and Apache Airflow
Integrate banking applications and third-party systems using APIs
Work closely with architecture, business, and application teams to understand banking data flows and integration requirements
Develop and maintain data processing scripts using SQL and Python
Handle API responses, authentication, error management, and integration-related issues
Support testing, deployment, and monitoring of ETL and integration solutions
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with banking standards and regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot data flow issues and support continuous improvement of existing integration processes
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, data integration, or a similar role
Strong understanding of API and integration concepts
Hands-on experience with REST APIs
Knowledge of API authentication methods, API response handling, and error management
Advanced SQL skills
Experience with Python scripting, including data-related libraries such as Pandas
Good understanding of ETL processes and data integration principles
Ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Nice to have:
Experience with Apache Airflow
Hands-on experience in IBM DataStage development
Experience in ETL design, development, testing, and deployment
Basic to intermediate Unix/Linux shell scripting knowledge
Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts
Knowledge of dimensional modelling
Experience working in a banking or financial services environment
