The Expert – Contract Management
will be responsible for overseeing, administering, and managing contractual
matters in railway and infrastructure projects. The role involves ensuring
compliance with contract terms, mitigating risks, supporting project teams in
contractual decision-making, and maintaining alignment with organizational and
client objectives.
· Review, interpret, and administer project contracts in line with applicable laws, standards, and client requirements.
· Provide contractual advice and support to project teams and management.
· Handle claims, disputes, variations, and contractual correspondence with clients and contractors.
· Ensure timely compliance with contractual obligations by all stakeholders.
· Maintain documentation and records of all contractual communications and modifications.
· Coordinate with legal, technical, and financial teams on contract-related issues.
· Support project audits, reviews, and statutory compliance in relation to contracts.
· Monitor contract performance and highlight risks with mitigation measures.
Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering (Preferred)
LLB from a recognized institute (Preferred)
Min. 5 years’ experience in handling Railway / Highway projects as Contract Manager in either a PMC or Construction Agency.
Min. 3 years’ experience in Railways as SSE/Works (I/C) and above in Open Line/Construction.
Min. 4 years’ experience as Manager or above in Railway PSU in Contracts Division.
· Strong knowledge of contract laws, FIDIC, and government procurement guidelines.
· Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
· Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and correspondence management.
· Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
