Role Overview

The Land Acquisition Expert will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and facilitating land acquisition processes for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the Railway/Highway sector. The role requires strong liaison skills with government authorities, BOT agencies, and stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition, compliance with legal frameworks, and smooth project execution.


Key Responsibilities

· Plan, coordinate, and execute land acquisition strategies for railway, highway, or infrastructure projects.

· Liaise with government authorities, revenue departments, and local stakeholders to enable land acquisition processes.

· Ensure compliance with applicable Land Acquisition Acts, Revenue Laws, and related regulatory requirements.

· Prepare documentation, reports, and proposals for land acquisition and related clearances.

· Provide legal and procedural guidance on land acquisition issues, dispute resolution, and compensation frameworks.

· Monitor progress of land acquisition and flag potential risks or bottlenecks.

· Maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders, BOT agencies, and state government departments.

· Support project teams in negotiations, settlements, and dispute handling related to land acquisition.

Qualification

· Graduate Degree (mandatory).

· LLB (preferable) from a recognized institute.



Requirements

Experience Requirements

· Total Professional Experience: Minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.

· Relevant Experience (any one of the following):

At least 5 years of experience handling Railway / Highway projects as a Liaison Manager undertaking land acquisition for construction/BOT agencies.

At least 3 years of experience in State Government Administration / Revenue Department, enabling land acquisition for infrastructure projects.

Key Skills & Competencies

· In-depth knowledge of Land Acquisition Laws and Revenue Laws (mandatory).

· Strong liaison and negotiation skills with government and private stakeholders.

· Good drafting, documentation, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve conflicts.
