Field Service Technician Team Lead
Field Service Technician Team Lead – Northeast Indianapolis territory
Wage for this position based on experience: $39 per hour
Performs all aspects of a Field Service technician role and is the first point of contact for a team of Technicians in each territory. Works closely with Technicians to ensure timely completion of workload with a focus of exceeding customer satisfaction and company goals. The Team Leader mentors, motivates, and trains new Field Service Technicians on all aspects of the tech role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mentors and trains new Field Service Technicians on ALL aspects of the tech role, including Service Department policies and procedures.
- Manage Work in Progress and works directly with technicians to ensure timely completion of workload.
- Identifies problems within territory and communicates proactive solutions to management.
- Troubleshoots problems pertaining to breakdowns on customer equipment.
- Performs SM’s as needed to ensure 100% completion of workload.
- First point of contact for technicians needing assistance.
- Meet team goals on appropriate metrics.
- Manages part inventory and supplies in van.
- Ensures a safe working environment through adherence to Company Training and Safety Guidelines.
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED along with a minimum of 3 years practical skills experience.
- Proven experience reading and interpreting schematics, maps, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
- Track record of providing exceptional customer service and building strong professional relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with all organizational levels, internally and externally.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Experience performing basic computer functions using Microsoft Office applications and Internet-based tools.
- Must hold Level II Certification at the time of hire or achieve certification within six months.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in accordance with company policy.
Education & Experience:
- This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED along with a minimum of 3 years practical skills experience.
