Finance Business Analyst - Systems Implementation

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to support the implementation of a new accounting system as part of a significant finance transformation programme.

This is a 12-month contract offering the opportunity to work across the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, process analysis, system testing, go-live and post-implementation support.


Key responsibilities will include:

• Gathering, analysing and documenting finance and business requirements
  
• Supporting the implementation of a new accounting system
  
• Participating in system testing, UAT and validation activities
  
• Ensuring system configuration aligns with business requirements and functional specifications
  
• Documenting current and future-state finance processes
  
• Supporting issue and defect resolution throughout testing and implementation
  
• Ensuring appropriate financial controls and compliance requirements are considered
  
• Supporting go-live and hypercare activities
  
• Helping embed new processes, controls and ways of working
  
• Supporting reconciliation, reporting and financial control activities
  
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and greater efficiency

• Proven Business Analysis experience within finance or accounting environments
  
• Experience implementing accounting or finance systems
  
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills
  
• Hands-on experience with system testing, UAT, validation and defect resolution
  
• Good knowledge of accounting processes, reconciliations, reporting and financial controls
  
• Experience supporting system implementations through go-live and post-go-live
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  
• Ability to work effectively across Finance, Technology and project teams
  
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience

A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline would be advantageous, along with a professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA, or equivalent practical experience.
