About the Role
Our client is seeking a versatile and motivated Full Stack Engineer for a challenging contract opportunity in Centurion. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust functionality. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute across the entire technology stack, from user interface design to server-side logic and database management. You will work within a dynamic project team, delivering high-quality solutions on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement user-facing features using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code, integrating with databases and APIs. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, throughout the development process. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and stability. Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues across the stack.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. Strong experience with server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby) and RESTful API development. Familiarity with database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Experience with version control (Git) and cloud deployment environments.
