About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineering Manager to lead technical delivery for projects focused on privacy, security, online safety, AI governance, and sensitive data protection.

In this role, you'll combine engineering leadership, solution architecture, client engagement, and hands-on development. You'll translate business, regulatory, and technical requirements into practical solutions, guide multidisciplinary teams through implementation, and remain actively involved in engineering delivery.

You'll work closely with product, engineering, security, privacy, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into production-ready applications, integrations, and technical controls.

Responsibilities

• Translate client goals, business requirements, risk considerations, and policy requirements into solution architectures, product specifications, technical backlogs, and implementation plans.
• Lead the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of production applications and services.
• Build and oversee APIs, automated workflows, integrations, dashboards, and supporting components, while remaining hands-on when needed.
• Incorporate privacy, security, and AI governance into development and deployment through automated checks, policy enforcement, controls-as-code, and monitoring.
• Work directly with clients and technical specialists to develop prototypes, validate technical approaches, and refine solution direction.
• Support new opportunities through proofs of concept, technical demonstrations, effort estimates, and proposal development.
• Manage delivery scope, schedules, quality, risks, dependencies, engagement financials, and client communication.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Develop reusable tools, components, documentation, and knowledge-sharing practices that improve future delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex challenges across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience translating client or business requirements into solution architectures using technologies such as REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, or serverless services.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with Python, Java, or Node.js, including production deployments.
• 2+ years of experience delivering solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containers, CI/CD, and version control.
• 1+ year of experience designing or deploying generative AI or LLM solutions in a client or production environment, including implementation, governance, or operational management of generative or agentic AI.
• Experience in at least one relevant domain such as privacy, security, digital trust, online safety, product compliance, AI governance, data protection, or cryptography.
• Experience leading technical workstreams, multidisciplinary teams, or engineering delivery teams.
• Experience managing scope, schedules, quality, risks, dependencies, and client communications.
• Experience mentoring engineers or technical professionals.
• Experience contributing to proposals, estimates, prototypes, technical demonstrations, or business development activities.

Nice to have

• Experience building applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React or Next.js.
• Experience implementing technical controls for generative AI, LLM, or agentic AI applications.
• Familiarity with AI governance practices such as use-case inventories, risk classification, human oversight, tool access restrictions, prompt-injection protection, logging, monitoring, and controls-as-code.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, or the public sector.
• Familiarity with frameworks or requirements such as SOX, PCI DSS, FFIEC, HIPAA, or GDPR.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Neo4j, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience owning technical roadmaps, backlogs, or reusable engineering assets.
• Experience working with senior client stakeholders to guide architecture decisions and evaluate technical or business risks.
