The Job

About the project:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Electronic Hardware Engineering Manager / Technical Lead to lead our hardware design team. In this role, you will drive the architecture, development, integration, and validation of next-generation high-performance electronic hardware platforms for automotive applications, particularly ADAS and infotainment systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in high-speed board-level design, analytical engineering, simulation, and technical leadership. You will lead and develop a team of hardware design and PCB layout engineers while collaborating with global cross-functional teams and external development and manufacturing partners.

For project information, please refer to:

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Engineering

  • Define hardware architecture and lead the development of complex multilayer, high-speed PCBs for automotive high-performance computing platforms.
  • Lead component selection, schematic design, PCB layout reviews, board bring-up, debugging, validation, and design release.
  • Develop hardware architectures supporting high-speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen 3/4/5, LPDDR5, USB 3.x, SGMII/RGMII, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Lead the integration of high-performance computing systems based on advanced SoCs.
  • Review power-budget calculations, thermal analyses, reliability assessments, and hardware design trade-offs.
  • Lead and review Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analyses and simulations covering impedance, jitter, crosstalk, power distribution, and voltage-drop issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of complex hardware failures and drive corrective and preventive design actions.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, testability, reliability, EMI/EMC, and applicable automotive requirements.

Team & Project Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop hardware design and PCB layout engineers, promoting technical excellence and engineering ownership.
  • Manage technical deliverables, resource allocation, project dependencies, risks, and engineering schedules.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for hardware topics and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to software, mechanical, system, manufacturing, and management stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, ODM/EMS partners, component suppliers, and manufacturing organizations to support development, technology transfer, and production readiness.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in board-level electronic hardware development, including experience leading technical teams, projects, or complex hardware development activities.
  • Proven experience developing complex, high-speed electronic hardware such as automotive computing systems, high-performance computing platforms, servers, networking systems, or similar products.
  • Strong hands-on experience in hardware architecture, component selection, schematic design, PCB design/layout review, board bring-up, debugging, validation, and design release.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed design principles, including transmission lines, impedance control, PCB stack-up, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and power distribution.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, USB, Ethernet, SerDes, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Altium Designer, Siemens EDA, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory validation and debugging using high-speed measurement equipment.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in automotive electronic hardware development, particularly ADAS, infotainment, domain controllers, or automotive high-performance computing platforms.
  • Experience leading and developing hardware design and PCB layout engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with SI/PI simulation tools such as Cadence Sigrity, Ansys HFSS/SIwave, Keysight ADS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with advanced high-speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen 4/5, LPDDR5, and multi-gigabit Ethernet.
  • Experience working with ODM/EMS partners, PCB manufacturers, component suppliers, and global engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of DFM, DFT, reliability engineering, and automotive development requirements.
