Description

PharmaCounselors Healthcare Solutions

Healthcare Sales, Commercial & Regulatory Trainee

Part-Time | Remote | Mexico

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated university student or recent graduate in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare/scientific field who is interested in developing a career at the intersection of:

Healthcare · Regulatory Affairs · International Business · Corporate Sales

This is not a traditional administrative internship. This is a client-facing commercial role that includes active sales prospecting and direct outreach to potential corporate buyers.

The selected trainee will receive practical exposure to the commercial and regulatory processes involved in bringing healthcare products to market, while helping identify and develop business opportunities with manufacturers, distributors, healthcare organizations, procurement departments, and other industry participants.

The position is designed for someone who wants to understand not only the technical side of healthcare products, but also how products reach markets, how companies identify buyers, how regulatory requirements affect commercialization, and how corporate business relationships are developed.

What You Will Do

You will progressively participate in activities including:

  • Researching healthcare companies, manufacturers, distributors and potential corporate buyers.
  • Identifying and contacting Purchasing, Procurement, Commercial and Regulatory Affairs decision-makers.
  • Conducting initial outreach by email, telephone and professional networks.
  • Building and maintaining a structured commercial prospect database.
  • Identifying potential product requirements, purchasing needs and commercial opportunities.
  • Following up with prospective clients and business contacts.
  • Supporting preparation for corporate meetings and commercial presentations.
  • Learning the fundamentals of healthcare product classification, sanitary registrations, labeling, import requirements and market-access processes.
  • Helping identify when a commercial opportunity may also involve a regulatory or market-access requirement.
  • Supporting business-development initiatives involving Mexico, the United States and international markets.
  • Maintaining accurate records of contacts, opportunities, follow-ups and results.

You will not be expected to provide legal or regulatory advice. Technical and regulatory matters will be supervised by experienced professionals.

Who We Are Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

  • Are currently completing the final semesters of, or recently graduated from, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
  • Have a genuine interest in business development and corporate sales, not exclusively laboratory or technical work.
  • Are comfortable communicating with people they do not already know.
  • Are curious about how healthcare products move from manufacturer to regulation, importation, commercialization and buyer.
  • Can conduct structured research independently.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are organized and persistent with follow-up.
  • Are interested in learning about regulatory affairs and international business.
  • Have working English proficiency and are interested in using English professionally.
  • Are comfortable working remotely and managing assigned objectives independently.

What You Will Learn

This traineeship is intended to provide practical exposure to:

Corporate Healthcare Sales

How companies identify prospects, approach decision-makers, qualify opportunities and develop business relationships.

Regulatory Affairs & Market Access

Fundamentals of sanitary regulation, product requirements, labeling, registration and commercialization pathways.

International Business

Exposure to cross-border healthcare opportunities involving Mexico, the United States and other markets.

Commercial Strategy

How technical, regulatory and commercial considerations interact when companies bring products to market.

Professional Communication

Interaction with corporate buyers, manufacturers, regulatory professionals and senior executives.

Career Development

This position is intended as a genuine professional-development track.

A successful trainee may progressively develop toward positions such as:

Commercial & Regulatory Associate

and eventually

Healthcare Business Development Executive

Growth will depend on demonstrated performance, initiative, learning capacity and commercial results.

Compensation & Schedule

Part-time position

Remote work

Flexible schedule compatible with university studies

Monthly stipend: MXN $5,000

Additional performance-based incentives for successful commercial results

Initial development and performance period: 90 days.

Continuation and professional growth will be evaluated based on performance and business needs.

How Performance Will Be Evaluated

We value results and professional development rather than activity for activity's sake.

Performance will progressively be assessed based on:

Decision-makers identified and contacted

Qualified corporate conversations generated

Commercial opportunities identified

Meetings generated

Quality and consistency of follow-up

Development of regulatory and industry knowledge

Contribution to qualified sales pipeline and successful commercial results.

A Good Candidate for This Position Might Think:

“I studied healthcare or science, but I also want to understand how products become businesses.”

“I want exposure to companies and decision-makers, not only technical work.”

“I am interested in regulatory affairs, international markets and corporate sales.”

“I am willing to contact people, ask questions, follow up and learn.”

If that sounds like you, we would be interested in hearing from you.

To apply, please submit your CV in English and a short paragraph in English explaining why you are interested in developing a career combining healthcare, regulatory affairs and corporate business development.
