Description

About the job you’re considering

Join Capgemini’s specialist UK TUPE team as a TUPE Bid and Transition Manager, working alongside HR, Legal, Delivery, Technical and Commercial leaders to shape people solutions for major bids and workforce transitions. You will provide compelling, fully costed, client focused and succinct HR responses for bid submissions and will lead TUPE consultations, guide clients and employees through staff transfers, and play a key role in developing HR strategies that influence high value projects across the UK.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong bid and TUPE expertise with exceptional communication, empathy and credibility. If you can quickly build trust, navigate complex people risks, and craft clear, compelling HR inputs under pressure, this role offers the visibility, variety and impact to truly make your mark.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your Role

  • To shape and influence HR/People solutions, preparing HR project plans and inputs for bid submissions, ensuring responses are compelling, client focused.
  • Advise closely with Legal and Commercial teams on TUPE and contractual matters, taking a lead role in HR commercial schedule reviews when required.
  • Provide specialist TUPE support in client meetings, presentations and communications.
  • Conduct HR due diligence to assess people costs, risks, T&Cs, pension and redundancy liabilities.
  • Coordinate the successful transition of in scope staff into and out of Capgemini, managing all elements of the TUPE transfer process.
  • Lead formal TUPE consultations with incumbent HR teams, employee representatives and unions, resolving issues and agreeing final T&Cs.
  • Walk through proposed HR solutions with HRDs, gaining approvals and contributing to BRM and Governance meetings to articulate HR risks.
  • Maintain accurate bid materials, statistics, up to date and relevant content, and case studies.
  • Provide TUPE advice to Sales, Account and Bid Directors as required.
  • Deliver TUPE training to the business and HR community.
  • Monitor and triage queries from the TUPE mailbox.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your Skills and Experience

  • A strong background in a general HR role.
  • Understanding of TUPE legislation including how it relates to pensions, benefits and redundancy, with the ability to clearly articulate key requirements to the business
  • Experience of employee consultation with trade unions and works councils
  • Basic understanding of commercial and contractual requirements
  • An ability to develop strong relationships with customers and in-scope staff to aid a successful sales bid and subsequent transition.
  • Identify people related risks to ensure that these are managed and mitigated effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present convincingly and with empathy in client and employee meetings and other formal situations
  • Superb writing skills to contribute to high quality, clear, client focused and succinct answers to HR related bid questions (often with tight deadlines)
  • A data focussed approach with an excellent attention to detail, the ability to build and work with complex spreadsheets to analyse and accurately calculate HR costs.
