Instructional Designer

Summary

Designs and develops technical training programs, e-learning modules, and training materials in collaboration with experts and stakeholders using instructional design principles.

Your challenge

As a Instructional designer, you will collaborate with experts, trainers and other stakeholders within the company to create effective, efficient and engaging learning experiences. This by taking the lead in the creation process as well as taking part in the creation and development of training material (e.g. support the recording of training videos, give advice on formats, creating e-learnings in an authoring tool)

You are responsible for:

  • Conducting a needs analysis to identify learning objectives and target audience characteristics within for a specific training request.
  • Gathering information and insights from experts, trainers and other stakeholders to support the development of a training.
  • The creation of effective, engaging and efficient learning experiences using instructional design principles, learning theories and OMP guidelines.
  • Giving advice and support for the creation of assessments
  • Taking the lead from start to finish in multiple training creation or conversion tracks with the focus on e-learning.

About you

Essential talents and qualifications:

  • A degree in educational sciences, pedagogy or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Instructional design, curriculum development or a related role where you collaborated with multiple parties and alignment was key.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories and adult learning principles.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving-abilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • A strong affinity for IT as most of the trainings in our offer are quite technical.
  • Have the ability to acquire technical and supply chain knowledge in a rather limited timeframe. This is a requirement to lead the entire process as well as have detailed discussions about the content.
  • A team player who is also able to work accurately and autonomously.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with e-learning tools (Articulate Storyline) and learning management systems.
  • Expert level knowledge of PowerPoint.
