Intake Specialist

The Intake Specialist is a critical first point of contact for clients entering services at our programs. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this position provides intake coordination, administrative support, and ensure clients are guided into the appropriate level of care. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, compassionate, and knowledgeable about substance use services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute.
• Provide accurate, detailed information to all phone inquiries and courteous manner.
• Conduct brief ASAM screenings by phone to assess the appropriate level of care.
• Offer referrals and warm hand-offs for individuals not meeting the program’s level of care criteria.
• Schedule intake appointments and manage intake calendar.
• Complete all intake documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with LPHA to communicate accurate clinical information face-to-face.
• Perform other duties as needed.
