International Mobility Specialist

As part of ArcelorMittal Group International Mobility Team, your mission will be to manage the full mobility cycle for expatriations, secondments or short terms assignments. You will work in close cooperation with HR coordinators, local C&B teams and local HR administrators in charge of the logistical elements of the relocations.

Main missions:

  • Provide mobility-related expertise, consultation and cost estimates to HR and other key stakeholders. Check the consequences of the transfer in terms of personal income tax, pension and social security and payroll compliance
  • Design and implement the appropriate package type under the Group policy framework and considering local specifics
  • Manage international health life insurance and retirement arrangements
  • Follow-up all contractual arrangements with the host and home company as well the implementation of the terms
  • Supervise the handling of all aspects of the moves that requires relocation, including immigration, arrangement for tax consultants, shipping companies, relocation firms, etc...
  • Select, negotiate and manage external providers and vendors,
  • Participate in digitalisation of international mobility processes
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and market best practices in international mobility
  • Support assignees before and while on assignment as well upon return

What are we looking for?

These are the things we look for. Don’t be put off if you can’t tick every box.

  • Master’s Degree in Law, Tax, Finance or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience gained in a big 4., or in equivalent function
  • Solid experience in expatriate tax and social security issues with a sound understanding of expatriate management, policies and process issues.
  • Preferably having worked effectively for large complex organizations
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction form manager or supervisor to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and other department to maximize performance, initiatives, problem solving, and results
  • Flexible and proactive
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an asset
