- Perform in-process inspection of optical parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize inspection tools and equipment to check surface quality, dimensions, and defects.
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain detailed documentation.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming parts, reporting them to the production and quality teams.
- Monitor process trends and provide support for corrective actions to prevent recurring defects.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and contamination control procedures.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to address any quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in optical part inspection.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in quality inspection is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar inspection role, preferably in an optical manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and surface defect detectors.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify even minor defects.
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with production and quality teams.
- Basic knowledge of optical part manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to undergo training and stay updated with industry standards.
- Passionate about quality control and continuous improvement.
