IT Intern

Salary: RM 800 – RM 1,000 per month

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and responsible IT Intern to support our daily IT operations including system maintenance, technical troubleshooting, IT asset management and end-user support. The intern will also assist with information security, ISO 27001 documentation and IT administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in a professional IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the daily maintenance and monitoring of IT systems including ERP systems, email, servers, networks, software applications and end-user devices.

• Support basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, network and system-related issues.

• Assist with software updates, system backups and routine IT maintenance tasks.

• Assist in maintaining and updating IT asset inventories, including computers, laptops, printers and software licenses.

• Support IT equipment setup, installation, deployment and replacement.

• Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset lists, system records, user guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Assist in updating helpdesk records, tracking IT issues and preparation of basic IT reports and other documentation as required.

About you

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and IT systems.

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to provide support to users across different departments.
