IT Project Manager
Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on IT Project Manager to lead system development projects in a global environment. The role supports Japanese companies and Japanese-affiliated Thai companies. The successful candidate will take direct ownership of day-to-day project management activities and conduct English-based communication with vendors and selected internal team members. This role requires a strong execution mindset and the ability to manage projects with a high level of detail, accuracy, and structured documentation aligned with Japanese business standards.
Job Summary
We are hiring an IT Project Manager who can confidently lead project execution and stakeholder communication in English. This is an English-intensive, client- and vendor-facing role supporting Japanese companies and Japanese-affiliated Thai companies. The PM must independently facilitate discussions, clarify complex issues, challenge proposals constructively, negotiate next steps, and drive decisions in English—not simply attend meetings or provide status updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project meetings, technical/functional discussions, issue escalations, and vendor follow-ups independently in English
- Explain project risks, delivery impacts, options, and recommendations clearly in spoken English
- Challenge vendor assumptions, clarify ambiguities, negotiate actions and deadlines, and secure stakeholder decisions
- Proactively identify problems, propose solutions, remove blockers, escalate appropriately, and drive closure
- Coordinate effectively with Japanese-managed teams and overseas vendors, aligning expectations and deliverables
Required Qualifications
- More than 2 years of hands-on IT Project Manager experience with direct delivery responsibility
- Excellent spoken English: able to chair meetings, handle difficult questions, discuss trade-offs, and resolve misunderstandings in real time
- Demonstrated proactive PM leadership—not limited to scheduling, monitoring, or reporting project status
- Experience coordinating international vendors or cross-cultural stakeholders
English Proficiency Requirement
TOEIC Listening & Reading 850+ (or equivalent) is a preferred benchmark, but practical spoken English is decisive.
