IT Specialist (SYSADMIN)

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Network Enterprise Center in Monterey, CA.

This position is only open to current permanent employees in the ARCYBER enterprise. Block 47 of the SF-50 must be AR2A

Lead the integration and interoperability of complex hardware, software, and cloud components to streamline organizational data flows and unify multi-tier agency workflows.

Manage enterprise SAN and NAS storage infrastructures, monitor data growth, and optimize capacity allocation to guarantee high availability and data integrity across systems.

Execute automated backup schedules, conduct disaster recovery exercises, and maintain off-site replication protocols to ensure rapid recovery and mission continuity.

Resolve complex Tier-3 infrastructure incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative system hardening to mitigate recurring operational disruptions.
