IT Support Engineer Internship Opportunity (Remote)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Information Technology Support Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. As an IT Intern, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by providing technical support, assisting with network management, and contributing to the maintenance of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with installing, configuring, and updating hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows 7, 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
• Support case requests, including change requests, complaints, and general inquiries.
• Provide technical support and assist in troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Help manage and support Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory (AD), and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
• Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain virtualization technologies like VMware and Azure.
• Assist in installing, configuring, and managing Exchange Server (2013, 2016).
• Learn about and contribute to Windows patch management and application deployment.
• Support the maintenance of antivirus, backup, and storage systems.
• Gain hands-on experience managing network components, including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Support the team's cyber security efforts by learning relevant tools and practices.
• Utilize PowerShell and other scripting languages under guidance for system optimization.

Requirements

• Current enrolment in or recent completion of a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and File Services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Office, Exchange, AD).
• Interest in virtualization technologies like VMware and Azure.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Willingness to learn PowerShell and scripting languages.
• A passion for technology and eagerness to gain practical IT experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Not Required):

• Previous experience with IT support or internships is a plus.
• Awareness of cybersecurity tools and practices.
• Familiarity with backup applications and storage solutions.
