About the role

People Connects is recruiting on behalf of our client for an IT Support Engineer (L2). This opportunity suits an experienced IT Support, Desktop Support or Junior System Engineer who has practical systems exposure and is ready to take on broader technical responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Investigate escalated support issues involving Windows environments, user access and business IT systems.
  • Support Windows Server and Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, DNS, DHCP and file-sharing services.
  • Perform Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshoot user or service issues.
  • Troubleshoot network and VPN connectivity, escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Assist with server maintenance, patching and system health checks.
  • Support virtual machines, backup checks and recovery activities within the assigned scope.
  • Assist with firewall and endpoint security support.
  • Record troubleshooting steps, changes and resolutions clearly.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers, vendors and application teams to resolve complex incidents.

About you

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in IT support, desktop support or systems support.
  • Practical troubleshooting experience in Windows environments.
  • Working exposure to Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN.
  • Hands-on involvement in systems or infrastructure tasks—for example, administering accounts or permissions, checking backups, assisting with server maintenance, supporting virtual machines or troubleshooting business networks.
  • Ability to explain what you personally handled, how you investigated an issue and when you sought assistance.
  • Clear communication, accurate documentation and a responsible approach to following up issues.
  • Experience assisting senior engineers is relevant. You are not expected to independently manage every technology listed.
  • This role requires relevant professional experience; internship or academic project experience alone does not meet the experience requirement.
