IT Support Engineer / Technician

Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year

We're a friendly flexible workplace looking to add more great people to our amazing team and are seeking a Level 1/Level 2 Technician.

Though not explicitly seeking a new graduate, we will consider new graduates where the majority of the role requirements are clearly met.

The role will see you responding to client requests for IT Support which you will deliver via phone or on site visits. Good communication skills are important, the ability to translate technical information to clients is essential.

Should you apply for this position you will display your capacity to take responsibility for a task from start to end. This position requires you to have the ability to prioritise work, manage your workload (sometimes in consultation with management) and work with other team members.

We're looking for a skilled, conscientious, helpful sort who's happy to provide support to clients and other employees, and is happy to receive support in kind.

Applicants should have experience across at least some of the following operating systems - Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

Many of our clients require windows expertise although mixed environments of Linux/Mac OS are common.

Employment: The immediate need for this role is for a fixed term of 12 months on a full time basis.

Subject to the successful applicant's skills, the role will include a combination of:

• Onsite support for clients (PC setup, LAN / ISP connection setup, printer setup etc)

• Phone help-desk work/remote assistance (as above but over the phone)

• Software installation

• Domain name registrations

• Email administration

• Internal support – PC maintenance

Later potentially moving onto:

• Script programming

• Network administration support

• Arranging hardware and software purchases

• Advice re purchasing of equipment

The person we are seeking will have a combination of at least some of the following:

• IT Quals

• MSP management/monitoring/understanding

• Computer Tech or Sys Admin related work experience

• Knowledge of hardware

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Drivers License
