Java Developer
Summary
Build and maintain Java-based backend services for enterprise banking and wealth management systems using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Oracle/MySQL.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Java Software Engineer to join our technology team supporting enterprise banking and Wealth Management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
You will be responsible for developing scalable and robust applications, resolving complex technical issues, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement Java-based applications
- Develop backend services using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP web services
- Analyse business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
- Perform SQL query optimization and database-related development
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and performance best practices
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Support continuous integration and test-driven development practices
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in Core Java 8+
- Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- JUnit and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- REST API and SOAP Web Services
- Maven
- SQL and Relational Databases (Oracle/MySQL)
- IBM MQ / JMS Messaging Concepts
- Linux Shell Scripting
- Git and SonarQube/SonarLint
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Good-to-Have Skills
- Kafka
- ReactJS
- JBoss or Application Server knowledge
- JPA / EJB / JSF
- Banking or Financial Services domain experience
- Exposure to Wealth Management systems
