JUNIOR DESIGNER
Summary
Junior Designer creates wireframes, UI layouts, and visual assets for fintech web and mobile apps while learning UX/UI best practices and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
This is a remote position.
The Junior Designer will support UX/UI design activities including wireframes, UI layouts, design updates, and visual asset creation. This role is ideal for early-career designers looking to build strong foundations in product design, user experience, and design systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and basic prototypes under guidance.
- Support improvements to existing product designs.
- Work with senior designers to translate requirements into visuals.
- Maintain consistency in design assets and components.
- Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams.
- Learn and apply UX/UI best practices and design standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Design, Computer Science, HCI, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience (internships, bootcamps, or personal projects included).
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Portfolio showcasing design work (school, personal, or freelance projects).
- Willingness to learn and take feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Technical Skills
- Design Tools: Basic proficiency in Figma
- Wireframing & Prototyping (basic level)
- Understanding of UI principles (spacing, typography, color)
- Basic knowledge of user experience concepts
- Familiarity with design systems (intro level)
- Collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, or similar)
