Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing fintech technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our web and mobile applications (Android & iOS), including financial technology platforms and related systems. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in software testing, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn, collaborate, and continuously improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate in requirement reviews, project discussions, and testing activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  2. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure product quality.

  3. Perform functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for web and mobile applications (Android & iOS).

  4. Design, prepare, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business and functional requirements.

  5. Identify, document, report, and track software defects using issue tracking tools, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.

  6. Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not impact existing functionality.

  7. Support the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing practices, and overall product quality.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  2. At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably within the fintech industry.

  3. Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processes.

  4. Hands-on experience in preparing and executing test cases, documenting test results, and tracking defects using JIRA or similar tools.

  5. Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Apifox, or equivalent.

  6. Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to perform database queries for data verification.

  7. Familiarity with network debugging and traffic inspection tools such as Whistle, Fiddler, or equivalent.

  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.

  9. Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Added Advantages

  • Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or similar.

  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge, particularly Python.

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.

  • Experience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS devices
