Job Summary

Join Simtrum as a Junior Sales Engineer / Business Development Executive to grow our customer base in India and Southeast Asia by connecting with research and technology clients and supporting sales of advanced scientific instruments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage research laboratories, technology companies, and distributors to expand the customer base.
• Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with technical teams to recommend suitable products.
• Manage enquiries, prepare quotations, and pursue sales opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Develop and maintain distributor relationships and coordinate end-user meetings to strengthen partnerships.
• Coordinate project progress with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow-up actions to support sales continuity.
• Demonstrate curiosity about technical products and proactively learn to enhance customer support.
• Communicate clearly and confidently to approach and build rapport with new customers.
• Organize tasks efficiently, take initiative, and ensure consistent follow-through on sales activities.
• Adapt to market dynamics in India and Southeast Asia and travel as needed to support business development.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Background in engineering, physics, photonics, or related scientific fields.
• Familiarity with India or Southeast Asian markets.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience, including fresh graduates.
