L2 Database Administrator (Postgresql or Sybase)

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in PostgreSQL/Sybase DBA experience in production environments.
• Administer, upgrade, troubleshoot and optimise PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE/IQ databases.
• Strong experience in HA/DR, replication, backup/recovery, performance tuning and monitoring.
• Handle L2 incidents, escalations, RCA, Problem/Change Management and production support.
• Experience with Python, T-SQL and/or Shell scripting for automation or any other equivalent scripting language.
• Support database migrations, security, DR exercises and continuous improvement.
