Seeking Experienced L3 Lead Support Java Remote in Mexico

We are seeking an experienced L3 Lead Support Java engineer to join our team for a long-term project. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Java/J2EE, multi-server administration, database operations, and production support processes within an L2+/L3 framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced L2+/L3 technical support for Java/J2EE applications in production environments.
  • Manage and troubleshoot multi-server and multi-tier architectures including Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, and WebLogic.
  • Perform advanced database operations and troubleshooting across DB2, Oracle, Sybase, and other relational databases.
  • Develop, understand, and modify Unix/Linux shell and Perl scripts.
  • Monitor and manage job schedulers such as Autosys, procmon, and crontab.
  • Utilize IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans) and manage deployments using Git, Jenkins, and other repository tools.
  • Handle incident, problem, and change management processes using Jira, ServiceNow, and standard production tooling.
  • Execute end-to-end code and configuration changes (Java, Unix, Database) in production following SDLC guidelines.

Technical Skills Required:

  • English: Advanced level (written and spoken).
  • Advanced Java/J2EE experience (REST APIs, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring).
  • Hands-on experience with multi-server environments (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic).
  • Strong database proficiency (DB2, Oracle, Sybase).
  • Mid- to advanced Unix and scripting skills (Shell/Perl).
  • Experience with job scheduler monitoring tools (Autosys, Crontab).
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins).
  • Proven background in L2+/L3 support models and SDLC processes.
  • Java support experience is a mandatory requirement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Fluent in English (Advanced) B2 - C2
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, commitment, and a proactive attitude

Location & Schedule:

  • Remote work from Mexico
  • Work hours Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
  • Advanced English skills are mandatory, and only residents of Mexico
