We're looking for Lead Go engineers (at least 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or lead engineer role) to join our client's distributed team. If you're passionate about scalable systems and AI integration - read on!

Role: Lead Go Engineer
Location: Remote (CEE / EU)
Rate: $4,500 / month (B2B)
Hours: 09:00–18:00 CEST

We are looking for a Lead Go Engineer who combines deep backend expertise with hands-on experience in AI/ML integration and configuration.

In this role, you will not only own the architecture and delivery of scalable distributed Go systems — you will also act as the bridge between engineering and AI capabilities, ensuring that AI/ML models and services are effectively integrated, configured, and operationalized within production backend environments.

You will lead technical decisions, mentor senior engineers, and represent engineering to stakeholders — all while maintaining a strong focus on AI-driven product features, LLM integrations, and intelligent automation.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable distributed systems in Go

• Own AI integration and configuration — from model selection and API integration to prompt engineering and production deployment

• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and delivery plans

• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentor senior engineers

• Represent engineering in external stakeholder meetings and challenge unrealistic requirements

• Drive improvements to CI/CD, observability, and engineering processes

• Balance hands-on coding with team leadership and architectural oversight.

✅ Must‑Haves

• 5–6+ years of commercial experience with Go

• 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role

• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and Go concurrency (goroutines, channels, sync primitives)

• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or integrating AI/ML solutions in production backend systems — including working with LLMs, RAG pipelines, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar AI/ML frameworks

• Experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices

• Higher education in IT

• Readiness to work CEST hours and use a corporate laptop

• Willingness to complete a live coding task in Go during the client interview

• English C1

• Отвечать за интеграцию и настройку AI — от выбора модели и интеграции API до инженерии промптов и production-деплоя

• Трансформировать бизнес-цели в технические дорожные карты и планы поставки

• Проводить архитектурные и код-ревью, менторить senior-инженеров

• Представлять инженерию на встречах с внешними стейкхолдерами и аргументированно оспаривать нереалистичные требования

• Улучшать CI/CD, наблюдаемость и инженерные процессы

• Сохранять баланс между hands-on разработкой, лидерством и архитектурным контролем

Обязательные требования

• 5–6+ лет коммерческого опыта разработки на Go

• 2+ лет на позиции технического лида или ведущего инженера

• Глубокие знания распределённых систем, микросервисов и конкурентности в Go (goroutines, channels, sync primitives)

• Практический опыт внедрения, настройки или интеграции AI/ML-решений в production-бэкенде — включая работу с LLM, RAG-пайплайнами, OpenAI API, LangChain или аналогичными AI/ML-фреймворками

• Опыт с CI/CD, облачной инфраструктурой и современными DevOps-практиками

• Высшее образование в области ИТ

• Готовность работать по часовому поясу CEST и использовать корпоративный ноутбук

• Готовность пройти live coding на Go в рамках собеседования с клиентом

• Английский язык — уровень C1
