Lead Java Developer
Summary
Lead a team building and maintaining Java backend services using Spring and Spring Boot, guiding architecture and best practices while ensuring clean, tested code and stable production systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
- Design infrastructure and network topology solutions for innovative projects.
- Apply best development practices to produce clean, well‑tested code.
- Provide expertise and architectural assistance to other team members.
- Build relationships with users and facilitate requirements gathering.
- Resolve production issues and help maintain a stable production environment.
- Lead technical design discussions with other Java developers.
- Ensure the development methodology is followed across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Java-based backend applications using Java8, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with database design, SQL, and query optimization.
- Strong knowledge of object‑oriented analysis, design patterns, and clean‑code principles.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, DDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with IntelliJ IDEA, Git, and Gradle.
- Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins, and Jira.
- Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and deploying, maintaining, and monitoring complex Java applications.
- Understanding of modern technical architectures and how to leverage their benefits.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Skills with GitHub, ELK Stack, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration.
- Experience with event‑driven architectures, stream processing, and other JVM languages such as Groovy.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP, including exposure to UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Experience or interest in financial products.
