Summary

Build scalable Java backend services and REST APIs using Spring Boot, microservices, and relational databases for global products.

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to build scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs for products used daily by thousands of professionals. You will partner with an agile team to design secure microservices, improve reliability, and deliver clean, well-tested code—apply to help shape robust backend systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications
  • Develop secure, reliable microservices with strong performance
  • Optimize database models and data access layers
  • Integrate external APIs and third-party platforms
  • Collaborate with engineers, product, QA, and architects to deliver solutions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve scalability and reliability
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices
  • Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
  • Improve delivery practices through CI/CD automation and engineering process enhancements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong Java and Spring Boot experience
  • Solid REST API design knowledge
  • Microservices architecture expertise
  • Relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
  • JPA/Hibernate experience or similar persistence frameworks
  • Strong Agile/Scrum collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)

Nice to have

  • Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • OAuth2, Single Sign-On, JWT, or related authentication experience
