Position: Logistics Project Manager (Upcoming Potential Requirement)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Overview
Prime Response Inc. (PRI) is seeking a Logistics Project Manager for an
upcoming potential requirement at Peterson Space Force Base. This role will
oversee comprehensive logistics operations including supply management,
transportation coordination, and accountability across multiple classes of
supply. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership,
compliance oversight, and process improvement experience within a complex,
regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily logistics
operations in alignment with contract requirements, applicable federal
regulations, and customer expectations
- Manage supply chain activities
including inventory control, storage, distribution, and transportation
coordination across multiple supply classes
- Monitor workflows and allocate
personnel resources to ensure timely, efficient, and mission-aligned
execution of all logistics functions
- Ensure all contractual
deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality and performance
standards
- Implement and maintain a Quality
Control Plan (QCP) to ensure compliance with material management, safety,
and security requirements
- Track, analyze, and report key
performance metrics; identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement
initiatives
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and
workforce management in accordance with applicable labor agreements and
company policies
- Manage fleet, equipment, and
material handling operations in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and state/local
regulations
- Maintain accountability of
government or customer-managed property, ensuring accurate documentation
and reporting of all transactions
- Develop and submit regular
reports including workload metrics, performance indicators, and
operational highlights
- Ensure proper procedures are
followed for receiving, storage, handling, and distribution of materials
and supplies
- Evaluate and improve logistics
processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Oversee personnel training and
certification programs to ensure workforce readiness and compliance with
required standards
- Conduct periodic inspections of
facilities, operations, and personnel performance to ensure adherence to
policies and best practices
- Support development and
implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and
contingency/emergency response processes
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics,
Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or
equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in
logistics, supply chain, or operations management
- Demonstrated experience managing
multi-functional logistics or supply operations in a highly regulated
environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory
management, transportation coordination, and accountability processes
- Experience with performance
metrics, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and
other applicable safety and regulatory standards
- Proven leadership skills with the
ability to manage teams and prioritize competing operational demands
- Proficiency with logistics,
inventory, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Military Experience supporting
Military logistics operations strongly preferred
- Experience supporting federal or
DoD logistics operations
- Project or program management
experience in a contract environment
- Knowledge of government property
accountability systems and reporting requirements
- Experience working in a unionized
workforce environment
