Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Operations Support, Immediate Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

This position is located within the Mission Support Division (MSD), Immediate Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Operations Support Office (OS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The incumbent provides oversight and analysis of workforce development programs and policies, including human capital efforts related to position management, staffing and placement, performance management, awards, and workers' compensation. This work supports the efficiency and effectiveness of OS mission support operations and helps ensure CBP has the workforce capabilities needed to carry out its mission. This position starts at a salary of $85,447.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $133,142.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $158,322 (GS-13 Step 10). Typical Duties include: Analyzing tables of organization for OS offices to ensure positions are accurately recorded and onboard data is maintained and current. Assessing staffing levels, attrition rates, projected turnover, program changes, and workforce trends to provide analytical data and resource allocation recommendations to senior management. Monitoring recruitment plans for offices under OS purview and preparing analytical reports on employment levels, recruitment trends, and workforce requirements. Evaluating hiring plan execution in coordination with higher-graded Management and Program Analysts and budget personnel to ensure hiring actions align with position ceilings, funding availability, employment requirements, and organizational goals. Compiling, reviewing, and analyzing performance management data to assess program health, support compliance with performance management requirements, and provide technical assistance to field office personnel.
