Manager - Sales (NOE)
Who You Are
As the Manager for our Northeast Sales region you will manage the assigned region’s sales team and engineering leadership, ensuring alignment with the FAC global strategy for General Industry (GI) products. You will interface daily and lead internal sales and technical resources, as well as external customers, with responsibility for growing the FAC’s profitability and market share through successful execution of business.
You must be a strategic thinking problem-solver with a background in sales within the automation industry; someone who is professional, customer-focused, and results-driven with proven experience effectively leading and motivating teams from all backgrounds and experience levels, as well as partnering with customers to develop strong working relationships ensuring continued business.
This is a remote position. *Northeast Sales (NOE) Region consists of Northeastern OH, Eastern WV, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MAY, VT, NH, and ME
How It’s Done
- Provide overall leadership and management of employees in the group to achieve the identified annual financial, customer, internal and innovation objectives, including, but not limited to:
- Direct leadership of sales (District Account Managers and Inside Sales)
- Ensure that resources are assigned to accurately complete departmental and organizational objectives and targets
- Guide career development, mentoring, and objective planning for assigned direct reports and support leadership with doing the same for their teams as needed
- Develop personnel skill sets and facilitate growth and career planning for all levels of experience
- Lead discussions around employee performance, development/improvement plans, and performance reviews on a regular basis

Lead the development, accuracy, and effective utilization of CRM records to support sales pipeline management, forecasting, and customer engagement
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for growing GI and FAC’s market share in accordance with established targets
- Lead the development of accurate sales forecast and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Partner with leadership and HR regarding talent management and employee development, succession planning, orientation/onboarding, and employee engagement
- Create strong personal relationships with senior-level decision makers among the customer base and the alliance partner network
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum ten years of experience selling in a capital equipment environment
- Established record in developing customer base in emerging and non-existent sales territories or markets
- Must reside within the given NOE region
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a vehicle is required
What Would Be Even Better
- Master’s degree
- 10+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of experience at FANUC America, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Technical competency in automation applications from actual plant experience
- Prior experience directly leading teams of people

FANUC America is seeking a qualified applicant for a District Account Manager role. The pay range for this position is $127,248 - $213,196 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America.
A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience
