Meat & Seafood Supervisor Trainee

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Meat & Seafood Department Manager (or his/her delegate), the Meat & Seafood Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Manager and Assistant Department Manager in providing guidance, supervision and setting a good example for Meat & Seafood Colleagues to follow.

You Will

• Conduct quality control during receiving; manageinventory and product quality in display cases, walk- incooler and walk-in freezer; follow FIFO concept; ensure fulldisplay of various meat and seafood products；
• Provide guidance and supervision to Meat & SeafoodAssociate; assist Department Manager to train departmentstaff；
• Follow procedures to process expired products and assistdepartment manager to control shrinkage；
• Prepare various fresh & frozen meat products for salesactivities, including but not limited to cut, debone, slice,pack, and label various products and display them in thedisplay case, coolers and freezers；
• Prepare various live, fresh & frozen seafood products forsales activities, including but not limited to catch, gut,descale, cut, pack, and label various products and displaythem in the display case, coolers, and freezers；
• Greet customers by providing good customer service witha smile, friendly enthusiasm；
• Assist customers in selecting meat and seafood productsand provide recommendations to them, as required；
• Handle customers' complaints, build rapport with ourcustomers by providing good smile, eye contact andattention to them；
• Lead by example by performing duties of Meat & SeafoodAssociate & Cutters as required；
• Familiar with the location of various meat and seafoodproducts; keep self-updated with all in Meat & SeafoodDepartment promotion activities；

• Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevantto the job and know how to interpret labels ofmerchandises；
• Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealingwith products and lifting of products of 50 pounds on aregular basis；
• Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃), freezingtemperature (-18℃), and wet environment for long time；
• Possess basic computer skills in MS Office；
• Not allergic to handling meat and seafood products；
• Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety；
