Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop native iOS applications for First Due's emergency response platform serving Fire & EMS agencies.
- Design and implement offline-first architectures to ensure reliable application performance in low-connectivity emergency environments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across US and India time zones.
- Establish and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, coding standards, code review practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Mentor developers on mobile best practices and First Due's technology stack
- Drive sprint planning, technical estimations, velocity tracking, and contribute to the mobile technology roadmap.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development using Swift
- Exposure to Android development (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components) and knowledge of how to deliver mobile applications to both iOS and Android based on shared code
- Proven experience building mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
- Ability to work with PM to understand customer requirements and be able to deliver on it independently
- Ability to use tools like Luciq/Firebase to troubleshoot and understand customer issues
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
- Expertise in integrating RESTful APIs, data synchronization, and secure authentication mechanisms.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and memory management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead mobile development initiatives and establish engineering best practices – good to have
Required Technical Skillset:
- IOS: Swift 5.x, SwiftUI and UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, Background Tasks
- Tools & Platforms: Xcode, Git, Figma, TestFlight
- CI/CD: Fastlane, GitHub Actions or similar automation tools
- APIs: RESTful services, JSON parsing, Authentication & Authorization
- Testing: XCTest, Automated UI testing frameworks
