Job Description
The Monetization Director is responsible for defining a long-term monetization strategy that respects the core values of the game while creating an optimal experience for players.
They will collaborate with production teams to prioritize monetization opportunities based on key performance indicators.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Define a sustainable monetization strategy in line with the game's vision
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure the integration of the monetization strategy into core gameplay features
- Promote a global monetization strategy aimed at improving retention and increasing revenue while respecting the player experience
- Be responsible for the monetization strategy and management of the in-game virtual store, including the catalog and pricing strategy for micro-transactions
- Collaborate with operations teams to maximize post-launch promotion
- Analyze the impact of in-game changes and identify opportunities that will have a positive effect on monetization
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure products meet the post-launch monetization strategy and schedule
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) related to monetization, analyze KPI reports, and communicate insights to production teams to determine and predict trends
- Monitor trends to identify best practices and achieve optimal results while innovating
- Ensure compliance with Ubisoft’s monetization standards and practices
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- University degree in management, business, or economics
- 7+ years of experience in managing business operations for a digital company or in a related field
- Excellent understanding of acquisition, retention, and monetization concepts
- Pragmatic and curious
- Attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of the video game market and its consumers
- Ability to develop and maintain organizational relationships
- Strong planning and organizational skills
