DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a high-performing government ICT team responsible for supporting and managing a large-scale enterprise network environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong networking professional who enjoys combining hands-on engineering expertise with team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team supporting critical enterprise network infrastructure.
- Assist with resource coordination, mentoring, and day-to-day team management activities.
- Lead the delivery of network infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology improvements.
- Support operational network services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and ongoing optimisation.
- Analyse, design, and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including detailed network designs and operational procedures.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and technology vendors.
- Provide technical training and mentoring across a broad range of networking technologies.
- Manage competing project and operational priorities to achieve successful business outcomes.
You will bring extensive experience working in complex enterprise ICT environments and be comfortable leading technical teams while remaining hands-on with network technologies.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience delivering, supporting, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure using ITIL principles.
- Strong technical expertise across networking technologies, including:
- Cisco
- Check Point
- F5
- Advanced troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and problem resolution skills.
- Experience leading infrastructure projects and implementing network solutions.
- Strong understanding of contemporary networking trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management capabilities.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
