Network Security Engineer
Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,000 per month
About the role
We are seeking both Junior / Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to support our sales team in promoting and selling our network security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network security, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Key responsibilities
Work closely with our sales team to understand clients' network security needs and recommend appropriate solutions
Provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and responding to technical inquiries
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in network security and apply this knowledge to the pre-sales process
Collaborate with our product team to provide feedback on product features and latest release based on client feedback and industry trends
Attend trade shows and events to represent the company and promote our network security solutions
Lead project and ensure successful project closure on-time, including client kick-off meetings, planning and configuration, knowledge transfer and documentation
Respond to technical support and maintenance requirement as and when necessary, including troubleshooting, incidence response, firmware upgrade, operational maintenance, preventive maintenance
Be proactive in solving issues by working closely with superior and supplier's technical team for support, knowledge sharing and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in network security or a related field
Strong technical knowledge of network security protocols, tools, and technologies such as switching and routing, LAN/WAN technologies, wireless, firewall, DNS, VPN, SDWAN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Result oriented and client focused
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in network security
Possess own transportation and willing to travel
