Open System Developer
Summary
Develops and maintains Java-based ETL components, SQL/database components, and file/API integrations for enterprise applications, including unit testing, deployment support, and technical documentation. A junior-to-intermediate role working under a Technical Lead, fully on-site in Makati City on a 6-12 month project contract.
Salary: ₱100,000 – ₱110,000 per month
We are looking for an Open System Developer with foundational to intermediate experience in Java programming, SQL, and ETL/data processing. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of object-oriented programming, database management, file processing, and system integration.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java-based ETL components based on business requirements and technical standards.
Implement file parsing, data transformation, validation, and database loading processes.
Develop and maintain SQL queries and database-related components.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution to ensure application quality.
Assist in ETL job deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Support API, database, and file-based system integrations.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including development specifications and process documentation.
Collaborate with the Technical Lead and development team to deliver assigned tasks and project requirements.
Qualifications
Preferably with experience or foundational knowledge in Java development and object-oriented programming (OOP).
Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of ETL concepts, data processing, file handling, data transformation, and data validation.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and basic scripting.
Basic understanding of APIs, Web Services, and system integration.
Knowledge of Git, version control, unit testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
Exposure to AWS and/or Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
Experience or familiarity with cloud technologies, batch processing, and enterprise application development is a plus.
Willingness to learn, collaborate, and work under the guidance of a Technical Lead.
Project-based arrangement (6mos - 1yr contract; with extensions/absorption)
