Engages potential clinical study participants via phone pre-screening, coordinates appointments, and ensures eligibility while maintaining confidentiality in a healthcare research setting.

The Role

Full-Time, Permanent

You will serve as a positive first impression of the company and be the first point of contact for those wanting to participate in clinical studies. You will engage in the pre-screening phone call stage of a person’s participation journey and demonstrate a professional, customer-centric approach to recruit healthy volunteers to partake in clinical studies.


You will be a part of the Participant Engagement Specialist (PES) team for our busy Auckland unit:

  • Providing information to customer inquiries/expressions of interest for current clinical studies
  • Organise and liaise with interested customers via phone pre-screening to determine eligibility to undergo medical screening and then participation in a study
  • Oversee bookings and appointments for participants from pre-screening to physical/medical screening
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Constructively reach target numbers as part of a high performing team



Skills and Experience

  • Confident and professional phone manner for both inbound and outbound calling
  • Basic administrative skills and time management
  • Be excited by the challenge of meeting deadlines and targets
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales or performance related role would be beneficial
  • Have a high energy personality
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to create rapport and connect with people quickly
  • Must be comfortable asking personal questions pertaining to medical history, for example contraception
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
