Power BI Developer - Python and PySpark

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with 5 years to 8 years of experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DAX, SQL, data modelling, data integration, and dashboard performance optimization, along with experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.

The candidate should be able to translate business requirements into meaningful insights, identify data and performance issues, and recommend effective reporting and analytics solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop/Service, report optimization, and Power BI Data Flows.
• Power BI expertise to advise on analysis patterns, templates, Power BI features, effective visual representation, and storytelling through dashboards.
• In-depth understanding of dimensional modelling, including star schema and snowflake schema.
• SQL- ADF or Data bricks, SQL- Spotfire to Power BI migration, SQL- SAP BW as a source
• Strong skills in data modelling, integrating data from SQL Server, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, SharePoint, and SSAS.
• Proficiency in creating complex relationships and working with large datasets. Ability to ensure efficient integration of data from multiple sources.
• Advanced skills in DAX for calculations and SQL for complex queries, views, and aggregations.
• Experience In optimizing report and dashboard performance. Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot data connection issues, and optimize slow-loading reports.
• Ability to provide actionable strategic recommendations based on data analysis and identify the root causes of issues (whether related to data extraction, transformation, model design, or visualization).

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Good in ETL processes, data cleansing, and optimizing large datasets to improve performance and data quality.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Blob Storage for seamless data integration and management.
• Familiarity with integrating advanced analytics or predictive models into Power BI reports using external tools or services.
• Good knowledge in Python and Pyspark for backend ETL processes and data manipulation, which will enable effective collaboration with the ETL teams.
