The Principal Business Analyst will lead the delivery of a renewed ICT Operating Model for a state government client in Brisbane. The role involves process re-engineering, stakeholder engagement, and solution design, specifically focusing on enterprise platforms like SAP S/4HANA and workforce management systems.

We are seeking a Principal Business Analyst to lead and deliver a renewed ICT Operating Model initiative for a state government client in Brisbane.
You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive process improvements, contribute to solution design, and produce high-quality artefacts suitable for a range of audiences. The role also includes process re-engineering, providing strategic and operational advice, and supporting knowledge transfer to uplift internal capability.
Required skills & experience
- Strong background working within large enterprise platforms, such as:
- SAP S/4HANA (finance, business and logistics), and/or
- SAP ECC HR/Payroll, and/or
- WFM Rostering (or similar enterprise workforce/ERP solutions)
- Proven, senior-level experience as a Business Analyst (end-to-end delivery)
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement across diverse groups and seniority levels
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation and facilitating workshops
- Proven ability to analyse current and future-state processes, identify issues, conduct research, and document solutions
- Experience with process re-engineering and recommending practical improvements to policy/process where relevant
- Strong documentation skills (clear, structured artefacts for multiple stakeholder audiences)
- High-level organisation and time-management, handling large workloads with high accuracy
- Experience in government sector or similarly regulated environments is highly desirable
