Principal Database Architect
Summary
The Principal Database Architect will lead the development of the RapidsDB database kernel and storage engine, overseeing the design and implementation of key features like streaming, high availability, and security. The role involves building prototypes and evolving the product architecture to meet performance and market requirements.
Provide the following services for the Company: Technical work of database kernel and database storage engine, including preparation of annual plan, top-level design, outline design, detailed design, etc.
- - Provide technical leadership to the RapidsDB development team.
- - Build early prototypes of product components and validate them for technical design and performance.
- - Oversee development of the following key features for the RapidsDB product:
- - Performance to meet stated performance objectives
- - Streaming
- - HA and dynamic clustering
- - Supporting workloads beyond memory limits (spill-to-disk)
- - Security – authorization
- - Connectors
- - Be responsive and decisive on adjusting the RapidsDB product architecture as customer requirements, market conditions and technologies evolve.
