About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join the AIIG Secretariat and lead the implementation of strategic programmes across Africa.
The role will involve managing multi-country initiatives, coordinating strategic partnerships, supporting fundraising and donor reporting, overseeing research and impact measurement, and ensuring the successful delivery of major regional programmes and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual and quarterly programme implementation plans.
- Lead programme roll-outs across multiple countries.
- Coordinate the Africa Impact Summit and other regional events.
- Manage relationships with national partners, funders, and strategic stakeholders.
- Support proposal development, fundraising, and donor reporting.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems.
- Monitor programme budgets, compliance, documentation, and reporting.
- Oversee brand and communication standards across Secretariat outputs.
- Lead the production of research reports, policy briefs, market intelligence notes, and summit briefing documents.
- Coordinate research inputs and ensure all published data is properly sourced and verifiable.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Development Studies, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with significant experience.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in programme/project management, development finance, entrepreneurship support, or impact investing.
- Proven experience managing multi-country programmes, donor-funded projects, and regional/continental events.
- Strong stakeholder management and diplomatic communication skills.
- Experience with project management and M&E tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI.
- Strong research, analytical, report-writing, and proposal-writing skills.
- Knowledge of impact investing, blended finance, or enterprise support is an advantage.
- French or Portuguese proficiency is an added advantage.
