Project Manager
Summary
Oversee maritime projects from planning to completion, coordinating shipyards, vendors, and cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee maritime projects from initiation through to completion
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in consultation with stakeholders
- Liaise with shipyards, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met
- Monitor project progress and address delays, risks, or technical issues as they arise
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification society standards, and safety requirements
- Prepare and present project status reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to align project deliverables
- Manage contracts and vendor relationships, including negotiations and performance reviews
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work quality and adherence to project specifications
- Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Project Management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience managing projects within the maritime, shipbuilding, or offshore industry
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, with the ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
