Summary

Oversee maritime projects from planning to completion, coordinating shipyards, vendors, and cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee maritime projects from initiation through to completion
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in consultation with stakeholders
  • Liaise with shipyards, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met
  • Monitor project progress and address delays, risks, or technical issues as they arise
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification society standards, and safety requirements
  • Prepare and present project status reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to align project deliverables
  • Manage contracts and vendor relationships, including negotiations and performance reviews
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work quality and adherence to project specifications
  • Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Project Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience managing projects within the maritime, shipbuilding, or offshore industry
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with the ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
