Proprietary Trading Business Development Lead

You build and manage OKX's proprietary trading relationships in Australia. You develop a trader prospect pipeline, manage sales cycles, negotiate commercial terms, coordinate account onboarding and technical integrations, represent OKX at industry events, and grow existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exposure to digital asset products to proprietary trading groups and high-frequency traders
  • Develop a strategy and prospect pipeline for traders interested in digital asset products
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Communicate trader feedback internally to support product improvements
  • Negotiate commercial terms, fee tiers, rebates, and liquidity incentives
  • Coordinate onboarding, investor classification, KYC, and legal documentation
  • Support API, FIX, and colocation integration discussions
  • Represent OKX at industry events and trading community gatherings
  • Manage and grow existing accounts after onboarding

Requirements

  • Existing relationships with market makers, proprietary trading firms, or trading infrastructure providers
  • At least 4 years of business development or sales experience
  • Experience in trading-related industries or with a regulated exchange, broker, futures commission merchant, order management system, or data provider
  • Interest in digital assets and novel financial products and infrastructure
  • Understanding of market microstructure and maker-taker fee models
  • Familiarity with API- or FIX-based trading relationships
  • Track record of managing multi-stakeholder commercial negotiations
  • Based in Australia, ideally Sydney
