QA Engineer(Central Team)
Summary
The QA Engineer ensures game systems and workflows are reliable by designing tests, automating regression suites, and validating data/integrations across APIs, databases, and UI. Core focus: backend/API validation, defect triage, and cross-team collaboration to improve game quality.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test planning, test case design, regression testing, defect management, and RCA.
- Hands-on experience with API testing, including REST APIs, authentication, request/response validation, error handling, and integrations.
- Good SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
- Experience in backend and integration testing, including services, logs, and system-to-system flows.
- Experience with data validation, including schema validation, data-quality checks, and source-to-target reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with test automation and maintaining automated test suites.
- Ability to understand and validate end-to-end workflows across APIs, databases, backend services, and UI.
- Experience using logs and debugging information to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Good communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience testing ETL processes, data pipelines, or data-intensive applications.
- Exposure to distributed or microservice-based backend systems.
- Experience with frontend testing, including UI, functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
- Basic understanding of performance, load, and stress testing.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, dashboards, and metrics.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build pipelines.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or services.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test scenarios for backend services, APIs, data pipelines, databases, and frontend applications.
- Validate data correctness, completeness, consistency, and transformations across systems.
- Build and maintain automated regression coverage for critical workflows.
- Investigate issues using SQL, logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.
- Work closely with developers, data engineers, Product, and other stakeholders to identify risks and improve quality.
- Independently own QA for assigned modules or components and support release sign-off.
