QA Engineer Required @ Mohali

Arbortec Systems Pvt. Ltd. Mohali, is a fully owned subsidiary of Arbor Financial Systems Limited (UK). We provide Order and Portfolio Management Software for hedge funds across Europe and the US. We are in a fast-growing business with a great pipeline of business developing and delivering financial software for hedge funds to clients/brokers. We have offices in Chandigarh/Mohali, London and US and potentially looking to spread our operations in Hong Kong.
We are a fast-growing MNC with many opportunities to offer and right now we are looking for a QA Engineer to join immediately at our Mohali location and work on complex financial projects. This managerial role requires a technical and detailed focused testing engineer who is capable of leading a team by example, and planning and implementing refinement in our testing process especially regarding automation. We already have established testing and development cycles plus an established product. We are looking for someone with experience to take our testing team to the next level. Outside of the testing team, your managerial input will be required for helping continually improve our business. Such as improving the environment and support/ development processes. Arbor follows Agile methodologies and our system has a monthly release cycle to ensure our product is as up to date as possible.

Job Requirement & Responsibilities:

• Always being prepared to go the extra mile and still being prepared to understand our system and execute some very challenging tests always ensuring high standards are maintained.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in technical testing.
• Having 3+ years of automation testing experience using Test Complete, QTP or similar.
• knowledge of the financial investment markets would be advantageous
• At least 2+ years in a team leader role, ideally management level.
• Experience in testing using various Windows platform / OS.
• Good knowledge of SDLC/STLC.
• Coordinating and working with a group of manual testers.
• Good experience in SQL Server / Any database and ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Hands on experience on any Defect Management tool - For e.g. Bugzilla
• Drive and ability to identify and discuss improvements to current processes.
• Analyze, design and build test cases based on system requirements and design specification.
• Responsibilities include developing and executing Manual & automation test cases to ensure end to end quality of product.
• Other responsibilities would include Defect Reporting, Co-ordination with Development team, Defect logging, Defect tracking, Bug reporting, Team mentoring & building, Task assignment, contribute to product development ideas, improve testing and release cycles, etc.
• Requirements gathering, requirement analysis and requirement elicitation.
• Implementing automated testing and validation processes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Should have working experience in Agile methodology.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is a must.
• Ability to work in Windows and Web application.
• Monitor, manage and motivate team members to perform and achieve individual as well as team goals daily.
• Lead and drive the weekly team meetings / conference call and participate in weekly management calls and client calls on a regular basis.
• Ability to multitask, strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Good to have Finance/Capital Markets/Trading/Banking domain experience.
• Should be able to handle Client Documentation and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytic skills and logical reasoning/problem solving skills
