QA / Software Tester

Salary: RM 2,000 – RM 3,000 per month

About the role

We are seeking an autonomous, detail-oriented QA / Software Tester for a 3-month contract for service engagement. You will own functional and manual testing across our emerging multi-tenant SaaS platform, validating complex workflows across web dashboards and mobile applications (iOS and Android). Because our formal QA procedures are in their early stages, you will build test conventions, structured test suites, and defect workflows from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual, exploratory, and regression testing across web portals and mobile app builds (iOS & Android)

• Validate end-to-end data flows and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) across multi-tenant user roles

• Run basic PostgreSQL queries to verify data consistency, transactional integrity, and backend state transitions

• Establish testing folders, conventions, and structured test cases from scratch

• Log and manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and visual evidence

• Document business rules, edge cases, and user journeys into clean, structured guides designed for internal knowledge bases and AI/RAG system ingestion

About you

• Proven background in software quality assurance with strong manual and functional testing expertise

• Hands-on experience testing both web applications/dashboards and mobile apps (iOS & Android)

• Demonstrated ability to create structured test cases, execution logs, and QA processes from scratch

• Comfortable operating autonomously in an early-stage startup environment with evolving product requirements

• Proficiency with Jira for defect logging and tracking

• Working knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL for running inspection queries

• Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and webhooks

• Strong technical writing skills to document system workflows clearly and systematically
