Quality Assurance Inspector / Technician (Manufacturing)
Summary
Performs incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality checks on manufactured components, issues defect reports, and assists with audits and minor repairs.
Responsibilities
- Execute Incoming Quality Checks (IQC), In-Process Quality Checks (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Checks (OQC), including full First Article (FA) dimensional inspections.
- Prepare inspection findings, support the issuance of Defect Material Reports (DMR) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR), and maintain accuracy across quality checklists and forms.
- Support final job verification procedures prior to approval, as well as supplier site inspections, quality audits, and documentation.
- Perform hands-on minor touch-up or repair works, maintaining compliance with safety standards and inline quality protocols.
- Assist with onboarding and guiding new team members while actively participating in training on engineering drawings and inspection apparatus.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on quality inspection experience within the manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques, testing tools, and apparatus used for cable, harness, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Mechanically inclined with the willingness to perform hands-on tasks and learn drawing interpretation and inspection methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to guide and support peers.
