Salary: RM 6,000 – RM 8,000 per month
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile R&D Engineer – Full Stack to design, build, and optimize end-to-end applications for our cutting-edge AI Agent products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-performance AI backend systems and intuitive, responsive user interfaces. Working closely with product, design, and engineering teams, you will take ownership of features from lower-level performance tuning to frontend user experience.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend interfaces and backend services for AI Agent products.
Backend Performance & Optimization: Implement high-performance C++ backend solutions, work with Transformer-based technologies, and identify system bottlenecks to ensure high stability and throughput.
Frontend User Experience: Develop responsive, intuitive UI components, optimizing load speeds and overall interaction quality for smooth user experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex AI capabilities into reliable user-facing features.
Quality & Innovation: Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, system testing, and continuous research into emerging AI tech and framework improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Frontend Proficiency: Solid experience with modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React (or another mainstream frontend framework).
Backend Proficiency: Strong proficiency in C++ with solid software design and architectural fundamentals.
AI & Architecture Knowledge: Good understanding of Transformer models, AI Agent workflows, and HTTP/web protocols.
Performance Focus: Strong awareness of application performance optimization on both the client side and server side.
Mindset & Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, ownership, attention to code quality, and clear communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Node.js, modern frontend toolchains, or WebAssembly (WASM).
Hands-on background or interest in UI/UX design and product design.
Active personal technical projects or open-source contributions.
Fresh graduates with a strong technical foundation or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience who are passionate about AI agents and emerging technologies are strongly encouraged to apply.
